Donald Trump still has a commanding lead in the Republican presidential primary with 34 percent support from Republican primary voters, according to a Fox News national poll released on Friday.
Trailing Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) received 20 percent support, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) received 11 percent support, and Dr. Ben Carson received 8 percent support.
The standings remain mostly unchanged from the last Fox News national poll two weeks ago when Trump led with 35 percent support and Cruz followed with 20 percent support.
National polls this week from Monmouth University and NBC/Survey Monkey also showed Trump with a solid lead, with Cruz and Rubio trailing in second and third places, respectively.
Anderson Robbins Research and Shaw & Company Research conducted the poll for Fox News. They surveyed 405 Republican primary voters Jan. 18-21 over the phone with a margin of error plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
Correction: This post originally stated that the Fox News poll showed Rubio receiving 18 percent support. He received 11 percent support.
TweetySue’em shares a lot of characteristics with Flint.
Lead poisoning-------
Cruz vs. Rubio for second place could be very important, especially for Rubio. Cruz will do well in Iowa and if he also beats Rubio in NH, then Rubio’s probably on the ropes due to complete lack of momentum and victories.
Purely epic loveliness. I’m diggin’ it.
Typo alert, @caitlinmacneal. As of this comment, your article puts Rubio at 18 percent. Actually, the poll puts him at 11 percent.
