The U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire has become a dead heat, according to a CNN/ORC poll released Monday. The poll was the first since January that showed incumbent Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D) tied with her challenger, former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA).

The candidates each received the support of 48 percent of likely voters. This is the closest the race has been since a January poll conducted by Purple Strategies showed the race tied at 44 percent apiece. Polling since then had shown Shaheen in the lead.

According to the poll, 17 percent of likely voters indicated that they might change their mind, while 81 percent stated that their mind was made up.

Another poll released on Monday by Rasmussen Reports showed Shaheen with a 6-point lead, 48 percent to Brown’s 42 percent.

The CNN/ORC poll surveyed 735 likely voters from Sept. 8-11. The poll had a margin of error of 3.5 percent.

The TPM PollTracker average on Monday showed Shaheen ahead by 4.1 percent:
