Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had a 3 point lead over presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in a hypothetical general election, according to a poll released Sunday.
The NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed that 46 percent of voters said they would support Clinton and 43 percent said they would vote Trump.
In April, Clinton held an 11 point advantage over Trump in a hypothetical general election, according to the poll.
The poll was conducted May 15-19 among 1,000 national voters interviewed by phone. The poll’s margin of error was plus/minus 3.1 percentage points.
