Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by just two points in a George Washington University Battleground poll released Wednesday of likely voters nationwide.

Clinton holds the lead, 42-40, with Libertarian Gary Johnson following at 11 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 3 percent.

When GWU polled likely voters on their preference between Clinton and Trump in late April, she led by three points, 46-43.

The GWU Battleground poll was conducted by Republican pollster The Tarrance Group and Democratic pollster Lake Research Partners. The poll surveyed 1,000 likely voters nationally from Aug. 28-Sept. 1 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average shows Clinton leading Trump, 45.6 to 43.5.
