Hillary Clinton leads the latest North Carolina general election poll by one point, according to a release from CNN/ORC.

Polls in North Carolina have been closely watched, and TPM’s Electoral Scoreboard rates the state as a tossup.

The poll shows Clinton ahead, 44-43, with Libertarian Gary Johnson following at 11 percent.

CNN/ORC has not previously polled North Carolina voters, but a Monmouth University poll released earlier Wednesday showed Clinton ahead by two points, 44-42, with Johnson at 7 percent.

The CNN/ORC poll was conducted Aug. 18-23 among 912 North Carolina registered voters, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for North Carolina shows a tossup, with Clinton leading Trump, 43.9 to 43.1.
