New Poll Shows Candidates Tied In Swing State Iowa

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are matched at 40 percent in a new CBS/YouGov poll of likely Iowa voters.

The tied swing state poll includes third party candidates, with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson at 7 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 3 percent.

A CBS/YouGov poll from July showed a similarly close race, with Trump beating Clinton by one point, 40-39, with Johnson at 3 percent and Stein at 2 percent.

The CBS/YouGov poll was conducted online from Aug. 15-17 among 987 likely Iowa general election voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the Iowa election shows Clinton leading Trump, 42.8 to 42.1.
