WASHINGTON (AP) — A White House official says President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May of the U.K. spoke Tuesday morning for the first time since she condemned the American leader’s Twitter habits.

A British government spokesperson confirms the call.

Trump’s sharing of unverified videos distributed by a far-right group Britain First claiming to depict violence perpetrated by Muslim immigrants in Europe sparked a row in the special relationship between the trans-Atlantic powers. A spokesman for May last month rebuked Trump, saying he was “wrong” to have shared the videos, prompting Trump to lash back at the prime minister.

A White House official, who was not authorized to discuss the call on the record, says said the tweets did not come up during their call.

Indeed. The only thing of substance that came up during the call was May reiterating that “nobody but nobody, no matter how remotely related to you, is going to get an invitation to the Royal wedding, much less Great Britain or its territories, with the notable exception of, maybe, The Falklands, perhaps in June.”

I think the use of the phrase “special relationship” in reference to our friendship with Britain should be mothballed for now…unless used to refer to Russia and Trump.

I really wonder, had Trump information of an impending terror attack in Britain, if he’d bother to share with them? After all, most lapdogs only respond to their owner - Putin in this case.

  3. I wonder if he had to call her because she blocked him on Twitter?

  4. He probably thinks he was getting an apology.
A formal apology, then a Written and public statement begging for his forgiveness.
