WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says businesses and individuals will receive a “massive tax cut” under a tax reform package he plans to unveil next week.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Trump says the plan will result in tax cuts for both individuals and businesses. He would not provide details of the plan, saying only that the tax cuts will be “bigger I believe than any tax cut ever.”

The president says the package will be released on “Wednesday or shortly thereafter” — just before his 100 day mark in office.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin initially set a goal of getting tax reform passed by August, but that deadline has slipped. Mnuchin now says the administration still hoped to get a bill passed well before the end of the year.

  1. Avatar for tena tena says:

Fuck your tax reform - release your tax returns, motherfucker!

  2. I’m tired of Republicans using the word “reform” to really mean “gut.”

    Healthcare reform = gutting coverage

Tax reform = large tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations

Environmental regulations reform = a return to polluted air, water and land

  3. No he won’t. They’ll release a half-assed tax reform recommendation that won’t have anywhere near the support in either house to get out of committee let alone pass as legislation.

This is just cover so Trump can claim he “passed tax reform in his first 100 days” then blame it on everyone but himself when it doesn’t go through.

Donald Trump is the most inept President this country has ever had and likely ever will have.

  4. I’ve never crossed my fingers for a government shutdown before. Before now, that is.

    Perfect 100 day capstone.

  5. Every reporter who asks about this issue needs to ask, “How much would this have saved Donald Trump off his 2016 federal income taxes?”
