President Donald Trump attacked Democratic Florida governor candidate Andrew Gillum on Monday as a “thief,” and implied his lack of education as compared to the Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis.
In Florida there is a choice between a Harvard/Yale educated man named @RonDeSantisFL who has been a great Congressman and will be a great Governor – and a Dem who is a thief and who is Mayor of poorly run Tallahassee, said to be one of the most corrupt cities in the Country!

Gillum attended Florida A&M University, where he majored in political science.
The Democratic candidate quickly retorted.
On Twitter there is a choice between having the courage to @ the person you are trash talking, or not. @realDonaldTrump is howling because he’s weak. Florida, go vote today. https://t.co/I8uOokptJA

The education jab seems to be a variation of Trump’s favorite criticism of his black critics: questioning their intelligence.
Here’s a good rundown of Trump’s habit, including examples where he called LeBron James, CNN’s Don Lemon and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) — for whom his favorite sobriquet is “low IQ” — unintelligent.
Where does the “thief” charge come from?
I’m not saying that Florida’s GOP voters are racist. I’m saying that our racist President thinks Florida’s GOP voters are racist.
The only thing more vile than Donald Trump is his supporters.
