LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The U.S. Secret Service is investigating a Twitter posting by a Kentucky woman who suggested someone could assassinate President Donald Trump.
The agency’s field office in Louisville has interviewed Heather Lowrey and conducted a background check.
The tweet, according to a screenshot provided to The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/2jbovI4), says “If someone was cruel enough to assassinate MLK, maybe someone will be kind enough to assassinate Trump.”
Special Agent Richard Ferretti said Tuesday that once the investigation concludes, the results will be sent to the U.S. Attorney’s office, which would decide on any potential charges. Federal law prohibits threats to the president and the crime is punishable by at least one year in prison and a maximum of five years.
Ferretti suggested Internet users “think twice” before sending social media posts.

The Secret Service is going to spend all their time investigating; how will they find time to protect his family? Guess that’s why he wants private security.
I’m sure it’ll be like vacation compared to what they had to do to keep the Obamas safe. I’m sure they heaved a huge sigh of relief at the end of his second term. I know, in that sense, I did.
That’s just funny by itself.
While I don’t condone it, it’s not like this lady is a Presidential contender suggesting it.
So, Heil Twitler’s SS says people should think twice before posting to social media. Irony is so dead, it’s starting to smell bad.
