MOHTON, Pa. (AP) — Police say a central Pennsylvania man beat his friend for refusing to eat some ramen noodles.

Brecknock Township police say 23-year-old Brian Douglas Hunter had cooked the noodles about 11:30 p.m. Thursday and became angry when his 20-year-old friend refused to eat them.

Police say Hunter punched the other man in the right eye 10 to 15 times. Police say the victim had bruises, swelling and a 1-inch cut under his eye.

Online court records don’t list an attorney or arraignment information for Hunter. Police say he’s being charged with simple assault and harassment.

  1. Obviously one of them was not a Pastafarian.

  2. Solved it: It was obviously Ramen Noodles they were serving on the airplane in the final scene of “Hannibal”:

Little Boy: I couldn’t eat what they gave me.

Lecter: Nor should you. It isn’t even food as I understand the definition. Which is why I always bring my own.

Little Boy: That looks good. Can I have some?

Lecter: You’re a very special boy, aren’t you? So which would you like to try? (child points to the prepared brains of Det. Krendler)

ManO’Man’…Tough choice: Ramen Noodles or Human Brains?

OR…could have just been the way the other guy prepared em’!

  3. Mrs Von Holst could threaten to string me up on our Aristolochia trellis and allow diverse desert vermin to gnaw at my various body parts or crawl in my axillary hair and I’d still refuse to eat that crap.

  4. Someone should have looked more closely at the ingredients. Sounds like a prescription for conflict:

  5. OK, that’s it, Josh and his team are just trolling us now. If the next damned post is about the Hackensack police department shutting down Cindy and Tara Worthington’s unlicensed lemonade stand I’m moving over to Red State.
