KINGSLEY, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a fifth-grade boy found with a loaded pistol at a middle school in Michigan’s northern Lower Peninsula had created a list of classmates’ names.
The Traverse City Record-Eagle and MLive.com report that the title of the list, found on the back of a homework assignment belonging to the boy, suggested he wanted to harm those on the list. The boy, however, told authorities he didn’t intend to harm anyone.
The Grand Traverse County sheriff’s department says another student at Kingsley Middle School told a teacher the boy had the gun Monday afternoon. No one was injured. Authorities say the boy said that he took the .25-caliber pistol from his grandfather’s house on Friday.
The student has been suspended for 10 days. He could face charges and be expelled.

Isn’t that sweet? He’s only ten years old, but he was already prepared to taste his God-given, Second Amendment FREEDOM!™.
this is chilling, very disturbing. he’s only 9 or 10 years old, and he’s ready to commit mass murdet.
Michigan? The list is OK, having the gun is bad.
In Alabama having the gun would be normal while the list would be considered bad. Nobody at only 10 or 11 should be able to read or write. It’s just un-American.
Good kid with a gun?
Another example of the violence that has become common place in this culture of ours. He took the weapon from his Grandfather’s house, apparently the man did not secure it.
