NEW YORK (AP) — Federal authorities say three people are charged in connection with a Russian spy ring that tried to recruit New York City residents as intelligence sources.
The case was announced Monday by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara (bahr-AHR’-ah) and FBI officials.
They say one of the defendants served as a trade representative of the Russian Federation in New York. They say another posed as an employee in the Manhattan office of a Russian bank.
The bank employee was arrested Monday in the Bronx. The two other suspects are at large.

There weren’t any Russian spies arrested by George W. Bush the Great, so this must be Obama’s fault.
