CIA Director Gina Haspel has reportedly briefed the President on the contents of the audio recording that Turkish officials say proves Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi was murdered by Saudi officials in the Istanbul Consulate earlier this month, according to the Post.

The White House would not comment on the reported briefing, but told the Post Haspel told President Trump about her “findings and discussions” while in Turkey this week. The Post reported Wednesday that Haspel had listened to the tape, which Khashoggi reportedly recorded himself on his Apple Watch.

According to Turkish officials, the audio allegedly reveals Khashoggi was interrogated, tortured, killed and dismembered after he entered the consulate on Oct. 2. Saudi officials initially issued blanket denials of knowledge of Khashoggi’s disappearance or death, but have since admitted that “rogue” agents concocted the scheme and Khashoggi died as a result of a fist fight.

Saudi officials also admitted this week that those agents plans to murder Khashoggi — who has been critical of the Saudi kingdom — was “premeditated.”

  2. Now we will see how many ways this administration will try to cover up, down play and dismiss the audios.
What will be the consequences for the Saudis? Cancel military contracts, remove their embassy, trials for the real perpetrators? If any of this happens I’d be surprised.

  3. Well, I guess we’re in the blowing-over stage at this point. If you’re a nation or thug leader of one who plays footsie with Trump, you can torture and kill any perceived opponent, including American residents, anywhere in the damn world you please without reprisal. Trump doesn’t mind. Actually it kind of turns him on. God help this country figure out if that’s OK or not.

  4. May I call bullshit ?
If you don’t think the CIA had those tapes minutes after they were recorded,
you also believe that Trump heard about them second hand “just now”
There is a reason Haley resigned on Oct 3rd the day after.
    They knew
    All of them Katy
    They knew

  5. Let’s stop using euphemisms, like the mistake we made describing the Abu Graib child rape tapes Haspel destroyed.

Khashoggi wasn’t tortured: he suffered awake and aware seven full minutes of MSB’s underlings sawing his fingers off, one at a time, with a bone saw.

Hey, Jim Acosta: ask the Pumpkin Traitor how much he enjoyed listening to that seven minutes of agonizing screams.

Also how good his orgasm was afterwards.
