For several minutes in an interview with President Donald Trump taped Friday, Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace tried to pin him on his use of the term “enemy of the people” to describe unfavorable press coverage — or as Trump says, “fake news.”
At one point, Wallace characterized the issue as a matter of “solidarity” between Fox News.
“We’re all together,” Wallace said, adding after referring to CNN and The New York Times: “We’re in solidarity, sir.”
Notably, Trump’s example of “fake news” contradicted his own press secretary’s account. He claimed to Wallace, as he has in the past, that the Secret Service did not allow him to drive to Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial during a recent trip to France after poor visibility grounded the presidential helicopter, Marine One.
In fact, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement: “A car ride of two and a half hours, each way, would have required closures to substantial portions of the Paris roadways for the President’s motorcade, on short notice. President Trump did not want to cause that kind of unexpected disruption to the city and its people.”
“The President [doesn’t] get to decide what’s fair and what’s not!” Wallace protested at one point to Trump.
“I can tell what’s fair,” Trump responded.

Glad he’s trying to get this clarified, Donnie has been way too ambiguous and unclear on his views on these subjects…
Chris is going to get his interview credentials rescinded …
Total lack of decorum and respect …
and more importantly, obsequiousness.
HOW did so many people find this creature an acceptable vote for Prexy? You’d think they didn’t care a whit about this country’s democratic traditions…I thought it would be all over when he declared, “I alone can fix it.”
