The Trump campaign released a Uncle Sam-style 2020 campaign advertisement on Monday that urged the President’s supporters to call a 1-800 number and leave a “thank you” message for President Trump.
“I need you to call the number on your screen and deliver a ‘thank you’ to President Trump,” Campaign manager Brad Parscale said, pointing his finger at viewers, while touting a “booming economy,” “historic low unemployment” and Trump’s foreign policy efforts, overlaid with video of factory workers, the American flag, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Trump’s campaign rallies.
The one-minute ad was recorded by journalist Yashar Ali. It was unclear whether the video aired nationally or in the local Southern California area where Ali told The Washington Post he was when he saw it. Dialing the number brings callers to a fundraising hotline, according to Ali and the Post.

First 2020 ad? This Trump ad, featuring his campaign manager @parscale, just aired on CNN. It’s a minute long and asks viewers to call an 800 number to leave a thank you message for POTUS. I called the number and it leads to a fundraising appeal (not unusual for pres campaigns) pic.twitter.com/yB3Rb1pJKe
