Florida businessman Todd Wilcox is the latest Florida GOP Senate candidate to drop out of the race following Sen. Marco Rubio’s decision to run for re-election, the the Palm Beach Post reported. His decision to withdraw sets up a primary showdown between Rubio and Carlos Beruff, a multimillionaire whose campaign has taken on Donald Trump-like quality with its anti-Washington, anti-immigrant rhetoric.
In his statement announcing he was leaving the race, Wilcox said he would be supporting Rubio because he was “best positioned to defeat” the Democrats’ nominee.
Beruff meanwhile has painted Rubio a political opportunist who is part of the Washington establishment.
Rubio will win that one pretty easily. Beruff was at the bottom of the pack before Rubio got in and everybody started dropping out.
Ya Beruff is just vile and teabaggy enough to probably do it. And little Marco has given him a wealth of video for his commercials . Poor Marco has already been effectively running against himself.
Beruff has been blanketing the Orlando market (GAAACK) with his lame "I’m a bidness man and an outsider " bullshit.
