Buckle up because the Donald Trump you’ve been seeing is apparently the restrained, toned-down version.

After publishing tweets Tuesday lashing out at House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) for announcing that he’ll no longer campaign with Donald Trump, the Republican nominee followed up with a tweet saying he’s glad “the shackles have been taken off me.”

It’s not clear who or what the “shackles” were, but the tweet followed several criticizing Ryan.

Following the release of a 2005 video in which Trump can be heard boasting that he can grab women by their genitals, Ryan said that he would stop campaigning with the Republican nominee. But he did not go as far as pulling his endorsement of Trump.

But Trump clung to Ryan’s comments, and has bashing the speaker since Monday.
