Trump TV Ad Claims FBI Has Launched New Investigation Into Clinton (VIDEO)

In a new television ad out Wednesday titled “Corruption,” the Donald Trump campaign claims the FBI has launched a new investigation into Hillary Clinton, even though the agency has announced no new inquiry.

The 30-second ad contains the same footage as a previous spot released in October, also titled “Corruption,” and begins with the same voiceover as that ad questioning how Clinton went from “dead broke” to “filthy rich.”

The narrator charges Clinton with taking donations to the Clinton Foundation from unspecified criminals, dictators and “countries that hate America,” as well as engaging in “pay-to-play” politics.

“Now the FBI has launched a new investigation,” the voiceover continues. “After decades of lies and scandal, her corruption is closing in.”

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to questions about where the ad will run or the size of the ad buy.

FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to lawmakers on Friday announcing that the agency was looking into emails potentially “pertinent to the investigation” of Hillary Clinton’s private email server, but did not indicate either a re-opening of the agency’s investigation of the server or the initiation of a new one.

  1. Lying orange shitgibbon says what?

  2. Of course the FBI Director didn’t see this coming.

  3. I’m sure he’d robustly deny the lies and false impressions in this ad, except his great concern for not affecting the election means he must reluctantly remain silent.

  4. Ah, yes. More blatant lies from the candidate who I saw today was strangely viewed as more honest by voters. If one can come up with a better example of the massive failure of our media, I’d like to hear it.

  5. You know, after the election is done Obama should totally fire Comey’s ass.

That way Hillary doesn’t have to waste “political capital” on getting rid of this partisan asshole. Obama can take the hit (he’s leaving anyway), and be clear that he did it because Comey can no longer be seen as viably impartial in his role as FBI Director.
