Trevor Noah will take over as host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” on Sept. 28, according to a trailer released by the network on Thursday.
In the trailer, Noah tests out the anchor chair, only to be caught by current host, Jon Stewart.
Stewart’s last day as anchor of “The Daily Show” will be Aug. 6.

I will be watching !!! Great choice.
i wish i did but i just don’t find him funny.
He’s very talented with voices, and a good comedian. I still don’t know if he can appeal to this American audience. Chistiane Amanpour got laughed off ABC pretty quickly, and I wonder if that offers a clue as to the likelihood of Americans really accepting foreign hosts.
You raise a potentially even more serious potential problem, of course. But I also remember people saying Conan O’Brien couldn’t hack it, when he obviously can.
i know what you mean but i always thought from the start conan would do well. i hope i’m wrong this time.
