Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) brushed off previous criticisms on Sunday that his would-be running mate, Carly Fiorina made while she was on her own quest for the White House.
“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace played a clip of Fiorina saying that Cruz says whatever he needs to say to convince voters.
“Look, Chris, she was a competitor in a primary, she was a vigorous competitor and competitors in primaries throw shots at each other,” Cruz said, before pivoting to discussing Fiorina’s character.
Fiorina endorsed Cruz in March after failing her own bid for the White House. Cruz said he would make the former Hewlett Packard CEO his vice president if he wins the nomination.
Cruz: Yes, yes … we are so happy … it is wonderful

… what he means - “thank God this will not last beyond the summer”
Cruz added: “Chris, look, women never mean what they say when they’re angry – they can get overly emotional when they are competing against an honest, good man such as myself. If I didn’t know any better–because Carly is way past menopause–I’d have worn she was bleeding out of her whatever when she said those things about me.”
Translated : Carly is a pathological liar. I didn’t believe anything she was saying.
And the Faux viewers did not catch it, of course — Because the bigger problem is that Chris Wallace didn’t catch, or call him on it either —
He didn’t disagree with her characterization… so it must be true.
