Some links sent from President Barack Obama’s Twitter account Monday were compromised, according to Organizing for Action, the group that runs the account.
The Huffington Post’s Sam Stein reported that an OFA official said the account’s link shortener was hacked, rather than the Twitter account itself.
Breaking. An OFA official: “An account with our link shortener was hacked. [But] at no point did they have access to the twitter handle.”

The Syrian Electronic Army claimed responsibility for rerouting web users from the president’s account to its own website. According to the Huffington Post, for a short time Monday clinking on links sent from Obama’s account took readers to a graphic video on YouTube.
