On the eve of the 2014 election, “The Daily Show” took a moment on Monday to clarify the core messages Republicans and Democrats are sending out to voters.

In a segment titled, “Democalypse 2014: Come On Republicans, Just Go Ahead And Take Over Already,” host Jon Stewart turned to the experts at Fox News to determine just what the Democrats have to offer.

Fox host Bill O’Reilly and contributor Charles Krauthammer agreed the answer was simple: Democrats have no good arguments this election season and the only reason someone would vote for the party would be, in O’Reilly words, “emotion.”

“If you’re looking for rational argument about how best to govern, you have to turn to the Republicans!” Stewart said.

The host then rolled a series of GOP ads featuring grainy images of ISIS fighters and fearmongering over “Ebola inside the U.S.”

“Vote to keep terrorists off U.S. soil,” one ad concluded. “Vote Republican.”

“I thought that was a very powerful and cogent, essayistic argument,” Stewart said with a smile.

“Move over ‘Hope and Change,’ and welcome ‘Vote For Us Or Get Beheaded While Pooping Blood!'” he added.
