Sarah Palin on Thursday criticized the media for its coverage of the Duggar family since allegations surfaced that Josh Duggar sexually abused young girls as a teenager.

Palin began her Facebook rant by lashing out at Lena Dunham, who wrote in her book, “Not That Kind Of Girl,” that she once looked at her sister’s vagina.

“HEY LENA, WHY NOT LAUGH OFF EVERYONE’S SEXUAL ‘EXPERIMENTS’ AS YOU HAUGHTILY ENJOY REWARDS FOR YOUR OWN PERVERSION? YOU PEDOPHILE, YOU,” Palin began her Facebook post.

“I’m not defending the Duggar boy’s obvious wrongdoing over a decade ago. The main victim in any story like this isn’t the perpetrator, it’s the innocent ones so harmfully affected. I’m not an apologist for any sexual predator, but I’m sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics,” Palin continued. “Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham’s sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she’s rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family.”

Palin blasted the media for not respecting the privacy of Josh Duggar’s victims and for attacking the entire family following allegations against one family member.

The sex abuse allegations surfaced last month when In Touch published a 2006 police report showing that Josh Duggar was investigated for sexual abuse. His parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on Wednesday that Josh inappropriately touched four of his younger sisters.

Since the 2006 police report was published, some conservatives have lashed out at the media for violating the victims’ privacy. Megyn Kelly on Monday bashed members of the media for reporting heavily on juvenile police records.
