A spokesperson for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) reportedly told media outlets Tuesday that the FBI’s findings on the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s server use wouldn’t impact Sanders’ decision to stay in the race for the White House.

FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday that the use of the private server was “extremely careless,” but that he would not recommend criminal charges, saying Clinton and her staff members had no “intentional misconduct.”

A Sanders spokesperson told NBC News that the Vermont senator watched the FBI’s televised announcement:
