The City of Millington, Tenn. confirmed to Memphis TV station WMC that shots were fired near the Millington Navy Base Thursday.
Update: The U.S. Navy confirmed the incident occurred near the naval base in Millington, and that as of 2:25 p.m. ET the military installation was on lockdown. Navy officials confirmed to NBC News that at least two people have been shot.
