It's the latest example in a strong of polls that have shown Scott in serious trouble of losing re-election or, at the very least, facing a tough fight in the 2014 cycle. In March, the Miami Herald reported that Florida Republicans were feeling sick to their stomach about a handful of poll results for Scott.
"There's no way to sugarcoat this: It's awful," one top Florida Republican told the Herald.
The new Rasmussen poll was conducted April 21-22 among 750 likely voters. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
