A young mother died Tuesday after being fatally shot by her 2-year-old son, who accidentally fired a gun he found in the car as they drove down a Milwaukee highway.
Patrice Price, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene after her young son reached for the gun and discharged the weapon. The car belonged to Price’s boyfriend, a security guard who left the firearm in the car, according to WISN.
Price was struck once in the back, police said.
Andre Price, her father, told the station she was a hard-working mother of three.
“Now I don’t have her no more. My chest has been hurting,” he said. “I have a knot in my chest. They won’t even let me see my daughter. I wanted to hold my daughter for one last time.”
