Several officers were reportedly injured as Baltimore protests over the death of Freddie Gray turned violent on Monday, according to a CBS affiliate in Washington, DC.
Baltimore police reportedly sprayed mace at the protestors who, police told CBS DC, were throwing bricks, rocks and other things at officers.
A Baltimore police captain spoke about the injuries sustained by officers.
The Baltimore Police Department posted updates about the unfurling protests and reported violence to Twitter.
The group in the area of Gwynns Falls & Liberty Heights has become very aggressive and violent. We are continuing to deploy resources.
