President Barack Obama will meet with embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki on Friday, the White House said.

The President is scheduled to meet with Shinseki at 10:15 a.m. ET in the Oval Office, according to the White House. In an interview airing Friday on ABC’s “Live! With Kelly and Michael,” Obama said that he intended to ask Shinseki whether he is “prepared and has the capacity” to address the allegations that VA officials knew of long wait times at the agency’s facilities.
