President Obama said that Americans are ready for a fresh presidential candidate in 2016 and indicated that he will give the Democratic nominee some space on the campaign trail.

“I think the American people, you know, they’re gonna want– you know, that new car smell,” Obama said in an interview with ABC’s “This Week” that aired on Sunday. “They wanna drive somethin’ off the lot that– that doesn’t have as– as much mileage as me.”

Host George Stephanopolous asked Obama if he would give Hillary Clinton room to “separate” from him on certain issues if she needs to.

“And I am very interested in making sure that– I’ve got a Democratic successor. So I’m gonna do everything I can, obviously, to make sure that– whoever the nominee is is successful,” Obama responded. “And she’s not gonna agree with me on– on everything. And, you know, one of the benefits of– running for president is you can stake out your own positions.”

Hillary will never have the new car smell-- just dirty old Clinton smell that never has a bad word to say about wall street.

  2. All they got to do is buy one of those little Christmas Tree, car fresher things. It’s much cheaper, and a lot less hassle.

  3. I can’t wait to hear a reporter ask Hillary if she has the smell the voters want.

  4. I’m sorry sir - we don’t have any new models this year.

Perhaps this vintage ClintonMobile would suit you?

It’s only been driven on Sundays, I swear!

  5. Didn’t realize that that was an invitation for the usual Hillary haters to pile on her with some more of their stale negativity and I’m sure that Barack didn’t mean it that way.
That hateful stink could stand a major freshening up also.

I will miss Barack and I am looking forward to our next Democratic President personally.
