After a selfie of Vice President-elect Mike Pence posing with House Republicans hit Twitter on Thursday, many users had the same reaction: it looked uncannily like the photo at the end of the classic 1980 horror film “The Shining.”
Many users noted the similar structure of the photos—and also that there were little to no people of color shown in either image.

This photo shows why they will eventually fall out of power, because it doesn’t look like America now, and looks even less like American in 4, 8, 12 years. They won’t govern for all Americans because they don’t realize what all of America is, and that lack will make them govern only for the people they think are the “real America”. That way lies their destruction.
