Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is crushing his conservative primary challenger, Matt Bevin, according to a new poll.

McConnell leads GOP candidate Matt Bevin by a whopping margin of 61 to 23 percent, according to the survey by Public Opinion Strategies, which was conducted for a pro-McConnell group. He polls about equally well, as compared to Bevin, with self-identified GOP conservatives, moderates and tea partiers.

The poll surveyed 400 likely Republican primary voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points. (Via Political Wire.)

The Kentucky primary is on May 20.
