Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) on Thursday expressed his sorrow following the deadly shooting at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina.

Nine people were killed after a white man opened fire in the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal church in Charleston. Police on Thursday arrested a suspect in the attack, 21-year-old Dylann Roof.
