“Nightly Show” host Larry Wilmore has a request for 2016ers.
“I’m a man of simple desires. All I want to do is eat soul food with every single person running for President,” Wilmore said.
And on Tuesday’s episode, he checked one more candidate — Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) — off the list.
While appearing on the segment, “Tyler Perry Presents Lee Daniels’ Soul Food Sit-Down With Larry Wilmore, Based on the novel ‘Pull’ by Sapphire, Featuring Sen. Rand Paul,” Paul talked about criminal justice reform and personal liberties, but really only seemed to munch on some french fries.
But when asked if he would accept a VP request from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Paul took a stand.
“It would be an utter and absolute disaster and I would want no part of it,” Paul said.

Thanks for the Rand head-shot. There’s a man really enjoying his greens and mac ‘n’ cheese.
French fries! FRENCH fries!
Rand Paul is so stiff. He needs to loosen up and just go with the vibe. Trump’s a doofus but he would have had fun with that skit. Wilmore wouldn’t have been able to get in many words with Trump but Trump would have been more relaxed.
The Jheri curl photo was priceless but it needed a black light poster of Brüno doing his dad in the background…
I thought one needed a soul to eat soul food…I know, really bad pun.
