A Miami Beach, Fla. police officer was caught on film as he launched into a profanity-laden rant at a motorcyclist during an apparent traffic stop, the Miami Herald reported on Wednesday.
The video, uploaded to YouTube on Monday by the motorcyclist, Albert Valdes, showed Miami Beach officer Kenneth MacLeod cursing loudly in his face.
The footage began with an apparent conversation between the two men and then showed MacLeod’s reaction when Valdes told him “God bless you.” MacLeod, who seemed to be letting Valdes go with a ticket, came back up to the motorcyclist and got in his face as he shouted.
“You want to be a sarcastic bitch? I’ll be fucking a bigger bitch,” MacLeod said. “You’re fucking with the wrong dude, bro. I’ve been here longer than you’ve fucking been alive. I’ve put up with more shit that you can ever think of. So if you want to test me again, you’ll be finding Dade County Jail real fucking hunky dory tonight.”
In the video, Valdes told MacLeod he just wanted to go to work.
“Then don’t be a fucking little wise-ass 20-year-old punk,” MacLeod said.
Detective Vivian Thayer spoke with the Miami Herald about the incident and said that although a complaint had not been filed by Valdes, internal affairs was investigating the incident.
“Even though we don’t have a formal complaint, we are being proactive and investigating it,” Thayer told the newspaper. “We do understand that it’s being shared on social media. … But the actions of one officer does not speak for the whole department.”

Is it standard procedure to take out the handcuffs in order to threaten someone who has done nothing whatsoever that could even be remotely construed as an arrestable offense?
