Conway To Town Hall Protesters: ‘Come Up With Your Own Solutions’

White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway said on Thursday that protesters should come up with their “own solutions” to questions raised at town halls held by Republican members of Congress.

“Protesting is covered under the First Amendment. That’s all fine. But come up with your own solutions,” Conway said on “Fox and Friends.”

She blamed “a combination of people” for the large crowds and vocal criticism Republican lawmakers have faced at town halls and public events.

“Some people are upset with an election result they didn’t see coming,” she said. “You see people who are concerned about the swiftness of change, and I think that you’ve got some members heeding that call and taking their questions. I just don’t hear a lot of solutions.”

Conway said that Trump is “keeping his promises at a very fast clip” and suggested that constituents are unaccustomed to that.

She also appeared to blame Democrats for not helping Trump’s administration navigate problems which have arisen since the President took office.

“You know, the Democratic National Committee has been without a permanent chair for seven months. The opposition party is exactly that these days,” Conway said. “They bellyache and moan and complain about most things but I haven’t heard any solutions.”

Constituents and protesters gathered at public events and outside local appearances by Republican lawmakers during the congressional recess to press them on plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act and concerns about Trump.

The White House blamed the wave of angry protests partly on a “professional protester manufactured base.”

“It is a loud, small group of people disrupting something in many cases for media attention, no offense,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer claimed on Wednesday. “Obviously there are people that are upset, but I also think that when you look at some of these districts and some of these things, that it is not a representation of a member’s district or an incident.”

  1. And here I thought the whole “they’re paid out-of-staters” had pretty much maxed out how insulting they could be to the protesters, but NOPE. She basically just told them to do their elected representatives’ jobs for them…you know, the jobs that the protesters are literally telling their elected representatives to do because they’re not doing them. I think she might have just broken the chutpzah-o-meter. Here she comes to wreck the daaaaaaay…
