After winning just one state primary, Ohio Gov. John Kasich is expected to suspend his bid for the White House Wednesday afternoon, clearing the path for Donald Trump to be the party’s nominee.
Kasich abruptly cancelled a previously scheduled press conference in Virginia Wednesday morning, with the campaign saying he would instead address the press in Columbus, Ohio at 5 p.m. ET.

I felt the earth move at that exact moment.
I’ll never wash these hands again.
Irony is dead.
Oh, no! Who will save us now?
John goes down the john.
Not Bernie that’s for certain.
Poor John – he never even mattered enough in this race for Trump to bother to pick an insulting nickname for him, like “Lyin’ Ted” or “Little Marco,” or even a consistent description like “low energy” in describing Jeb.
As far as I can recall, the only incident of Trump having much to say about Kasich was that he was eating like a glutton, that it was “disgusting” or something like that, but it seemed pretty half-hearted.
Basically, from a bullying-mentality point of view (in other words from Trump’s point of view), Kasich is the kid who is perceived as so small and weak that to bother picking on him would risk making the bully himself look weak.
