Jeb Bush had one aim Tuesday night and it was to take down Donald Trump.
After Trump told the CNN debate audience that he would go after the families of terrorists as a way to combat the Islamic State, Bush balked at the proposal as “another example” of Trump’s “lack of seriousness.”
“This is troubling because we’re at war,” Bush said. “They declared war on us and we need to have a serious strategy to destroy ISIL, but the idea that that is a solution to this is just crazy. It makes no sense to suggest this,” Bush said.
Bush attacked Trump for a claim he made that the United States should let Russia fight ISIL.
“He gets his foreign policy experience from the shows,” Bush said. “That is not a serious kind of candidate. We need someone who thinks this through.”
Trump, of course, did not want to back down, but he didn’t attack Bush’s positions, he attacked his personality per usual.
“We need toughness,” Trump said. “Jeb Bush is a very nice person, but we need toughness.”
At that point, Bush jumped in to stop Trump from disparaging him and began throwing out the dates Trump discounted ISIL.
“You said,” Bush began. Trump jumped in “are you talking or am I talking?”
The exchange ended with Trump taking a final shot at Bush: “With Jeb’s attitude we will never be great again.”

Wow. Lauren Fox misses the actual story just the way Jeb! misses his shot at making Trump implode.
Actual story: Jeb had his moment there. That was his moment for the debate, probably the entire campaign. He could’ve turned everything around there. And he blew it.

Wow, what a lousy group of candidates. They all subscribe to a list of made up “facts” and treat us like idiots who can’t see through them. They give Hillary responsibility for the entire 7 years of Obama’s presidency, while arguing that she is incapable of handling the office. Each of them seems to have been assigned one real fact that they can use to prove they aren’t totally insane, but, with that exception they manage to be wrong about every single thing they talk about. Barf!!
