Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush tried to fight for his right to talk early during Tuesday night’s Fox Business debate. But he came up short.
Bush was up to answer a question when Ohio Gov. John Kasich tried to cut him off and said, “I would like to make a comment.”
Bush stood up for himself.
“You already made two comments, John. It’s my turn” Bush said. “I got about four minutes last debate. I’m gonna get my question right now.”
Kasich didn’t relent, however, and cut Bush off again. Bush looked down at the lectern as he waited.
Bush spoke for six minutes and 39 seconds at the CNBC debate, which was the second to lowest amount of speaking time among the Republican candidates. He spoke only more than Sen. Rand Paul (KY), according to Time.
Watch the exchange:
Sorry, Jeb. When you’re whining, you’re losing.
Y’all just wait, he’ll be the nominee.
… and then he was promptly overwhelmed by Kasich. And then Trump got him, again (!), by later saying: “We should let Trump speak!”
And he’ll lose.
