The Republican National Committee official in charge of Hispanic media relations is leaving the committee and has reportedly said that she is not comfortable working for Donald Trump, according to the New York Times.

Ruth Guerra told the Times that she is leaving the RNC for a position with a super PAC, the American Action Network, but she would not offer her opinion of Trump.

However, the Times reported that Guerra is not a fan of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, citing unnamed sources:

But Ms. Guerra told colleagues this year that she was uncomfortable working for Mr. Trump, according two R.N.C. aides who requested anonymity to speak candidly about the difficulties surrounding the party’s presumptive standard-bearer.

The RNC will replace Guerra with Helen Aguirre Ferre, who has previously served as an adviser to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

“Is it going to be tough? Of course,” Ferre told the Wall Street Journal about her new position on Wednesday night. “But Hispanic voters see that these last eight years of President Obama hasn’t done them any favors. That’s part of the reason people are looking for real change and Donald Trump presents that real change.”

As the Washington Post noted, Ferre has been skeptical of Trump’s ability to unite the party in the past.

“I think you’re going to see a segment, Jorge, who won’t be able to do it. Because they don’t consider Trump to be a real conservative,” she told Univision’s Jorge Ramos earlier in May, according to the Post.

h/t to whoever led me to “You’ve been Trumped.” It’s a brilliant documentary. Unfortunately, I don’t have the energy to track the link down.

If by real change, you mean being rounded up and deported, or forced by gunpoint to build the wall with Mexico, then-absolutely–Trump is your guy. Estoy con estúpido!!

Well, you’re off to a great start with a lie like that, Ms. Ferre. Yes, Hispanics see right through sell-outs like you, thank goodness.

  4. Don’t be mean. It’s not like she’s Katrina Pierson without the ammo necklace.
