Former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ) went skydiving Wednesday to mark the third anniversary of the Tucson shooting that left her critically wounded.
The former congresswoman told “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie that the feat was meant to show what really mattered to her in remembering the tragedy.
“I’m alive,” she said.
Giffords also revealed in a New York Times op-ed that through rigorous physical therapy she has regained some movement in her right arm, which was left paralyzed by the shooting.
