Fox News’ Shephard Smith reported on the lawsuit of his former colleague, Gretchen Carlson, against the network’s top boss Thursday after the story had been circulated for more than a day.
“Fox News chairman Roger Ailes is responding to a lawsuit filed by lawyers for Gretchen Carlson, calling her accusations — or allegations — false and offensive. Gretchen Carlson is accusing Ailes of sexual harassment and wrongful termination after the company reports her contract was not renewed in June. She also claims former co-host, Steve Doocy, created a hostile work environment,” Smith said.
He went on to say that Fox’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, had launched an internal review and it has “full confidence” in Doocy as well as Ailes.
Watch the bit:
Carlson’s poster was removed from the building that houses Fox News on Wednesday:

There’s a reason it is called “Fox” news.
Sheps the next one out the door, then out of the closet, then CNN or MSNBC. Way to go Shep!
Well, that was actually fair and balanced…I guess when the accusations are aimed at Ailes he can manage to have the news reported accurately.
Now people will be looking at Meygn Kelly very differently I would guess. Is she or isn’t she ?
Can any woman out there imagine anything worse than Ailes and Doocy pursuing them? I don’t agree with her conservative viewpoints, but think she is handling this the right way. Others will come forward and accuse those two of the same behavior.
