The gun control group founded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg released a dramatic ad on Tuesday depicting a woman’s ex breaking into her house and shooting her, despite the woman’s frenzied calls to 911.

The ad was released by Everytown For Gun Safety ahead of a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun control and domestic violence on Wednesday.

The ad will air in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Nevada and New Hampshire, according to a press release from the group. The statement also noted that it will specifically call on Sens. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Dean Heller (R-NV), and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) in their respective states to “close the loopholes that contribute to the deadly relationship between domestic violence and guns.”

Everytown hopes that the ad will help increase support for Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s (D-MN) Protecting Domestic Violence and Stalking Victims Act. According to Everytown, the act would help “protect victims of stalking and dating abuse by ensuring that abusive dating partners and convicted stalkers cannot legally buy and possess guns.”
