A story that led The Drudge Report on Thursday was blasted out on Twitter as “OBAMA BOWS TO JAPANESE ROBOT.”

Obama spent time Thursday in Tokyo playing around with ASIMO, a robot made by Honda that can do normal human things like kick a soccer ball — and bow to the President, earning a sign of respect in return.

“I have to say the robots were a little scary,” Obama said afterward, as quoted by the Associated Press. “They were too life-like.”
