Real estate mogul Donald Trump seems to think former President Jimmy Carter is dead.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday, Trump referred to the former president as the “late, great Jimmy Carter:”

Carter is very much alive, as his grandson James Carter was quick to point out on Twitter, and planning to go to Venezuela next month to speak with the country’s leaders about his concerns for the escalating political conflict there.
