Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Sunday that some people think the United States had already had a Muslim president.
NBC “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd asked Trump about his thoughts on a Muslim president.
“Can you imagine supporting or being comfortable if a Muslim ever became president of the United States?” Todd asked Trump.
“I can say that, you know, it’s something that at some point could happen. We’ll see. You know, it’s something that could happen. Would I be comfortable? I don’t know if we have to address it right now,” Trump said. “But I think it is certainly something that could happen.”
“I mean, some people have said it already happened, frankly. But of course you wouldn’t agree with that,” Trump added.

Hey NC Steve. This is what I mean. Every sentence this man utters is headlines.
We know he’s an asshat douche bag so how much reinforcement do we need
Uh, Sunday morning snooze shows? When are you going to make him appear in person, so he can’t be coached by anyone?
Also, @ChuckTodd? The faith, or lack thereof, of any candidate for office is irrelevant, so the entire question is offensive. But completed expectable, coming from you.
Trump may be correct. Thomas Jefferson owned a Koran and donated it to the Library of Congress.
Did Drumpf forget what he said on Stephanopoulos?
