Khizr and Ghazala Khan appeared on CNN’s “New Day” Monday morning, prompting Donald Trump to attack the family again on Twitter while they were still on air.

Asked to respond to Trump’s latest tweet, Khan told CNN that his comments about Trump have been “appropriate.”

“He should listen to America, what America and the world is telling about the remarks, about the lack of empathy and that’s all I wish to convey to him,” Khan said. “Donald Trump needs to sit with his advisers and portray to this world, he is empathetic. You solve the problems with empathy.”

“There are bad people among us, but there are good people among us as well. You gather good people to get rid of bad people, but you do not malign the whole religion, the whole culture. We are the solution to dealing with the terrorism in the United States,” he added.

Khizr Khan also said that he was “heartened” by vice presidential candidate Mike Pence’s statement calling his son a hero.

Trump later followed up with another tweet trying to call attention to “radical Islam.”

  1. I always thought that Trump was unfit to be president but these last few days he is showing that he is unfit to be human.

  2. His advisors must be telling him that he needs to be quiet but he just physically cant.

  3. No Donald, I think the story is what a royal asshole you are, and the epic mess you are making of this campaign. If it is true, as many have suspected, that only people even stupider than you will vote for you, your prospects dim further with each passing day.

  4. TRUMP and quiet are like oil and water.

“It is not clear that Mr. Manafort’s work in Ukraine ended with his work with Mr. Trump’s campaign. A communications aide for Mr. Lyovochkin, who financed Mr. Manafort’s work, declined to say whether he was still on retainer or how much he had been paid.” http://nyti.ms/2al5Pn3
