Trump Dances On Kevin McCarthy’s Failed Bid For Speaker

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump celebrated on Thursday after House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he would no longer run for speaker.

McCarthy dropped out of the race before his party voted on who would be its nominee to replace House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).

Trump had said that he wasn’t sure McCarthy was cut out for the position.

Trump also retweeted someone who suggested his daughter, Ivanka, would make a good speaker.
