Real estate mogul Donald Trump on Monday reportedly asked the FBI to look into a threat directed at him via Twitter after Mexico’s most notorious drug lord escaped from prison.

A tweet sent Sunday afternoon from a user named @ElChap0Guzman appeared to threaten the Republican presidential candidate:

The tweet translated to “Keep f—ing around, and I’ll make you swallow all your words,” according to Fox News Latino. The account’s association with Sinaloa Cartel head Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán has not been verified, even though some reports have said the account is run by one of the drug lord’s sons.

TMZ first reported that Trump planned to contact the agency about the tweet. A Trump spokesperson later told Fox News that the FBI was “actively investigating” the threat.

“I’m fighting for much more than myself,” Trump said in a statement to Fox News. “I’m fighting for the future of our country which is being overrun by criminals. You can’t be intimidated. This is too important.’”

In a series of tweets Sunday into Monday, Trump had seized on Guzmán’s reported escape to criticize the country that has become his favorite punching bag.

“Mexico’s biggest drug lord escapes from jail,” one tweet read. “Unbelievable corruption and USA is paying the price. I told you so!”

In another, Trump wrote that he would “kick his ass!”
